Mel Gibson and Oksana Grigorieva have filed restraining orders against one another, two months after a seemingly amicable split after more than a year of dating.
Oksana Grigorieva reportedly won a domestic violence restraining order in Los Angeles against Gibson at the beginning of the week. Grigorieva alleged Gibson had been violent towards her, the alleged incidents that were not physical but still constituted domestic violence occurred in January. Oksana Grigorieva is claiming he is “playing dirty” and promising “the truth will come out.”
On Friday morning, Gibson filed a restraining order of his own. The complaint centers around three unknown issues and Gibson’s access to his daughter Lucia. Oksana Grigorieva is forbidden from speaking about the couple’s relationship. It appears that Oksana had secretly taped arguments she had with Mel. The judge ordered the tapes sealed and also ordered Oksana not to talk publicly about the recordings.
Mel Gibson side claims that Oksana’s claim is bogus, pointing to the fact that Oksana stayed with Mel after the alleged incident. According to TMZ, on January 6, 2010, Mel and Oksana were arguing at home when Oksana took baby Lucia, ran around the backyard, threw herself on the ground, came back inside the house and began shaking Lucia like a ragdoll. Mel followed and the sources acknowledge there was physical contact, but insist Mel did not punch her and was just trying to protect the baby.
Friends in Hollywood said the couple split after reports surfaced of Gibson cheating on her with a Polish porn star called Violet Lowla. While the actor denied the reports, Oksana is said to have demanded Gibson prove his love for her by getting married when his divorce was finalized.
The actor’s relationship with Oksana ended his 30 year marriage to wife Robyn, with whom he has seven children.
Grigorieva has a son with ex-boyfriend, actor Timothy Dalton.
